Out with the old, and in with the new. Here is your first sports poll question for 2013: Who is the best girls basketball player in the Suburban Council? Your choices are:

Carly Boland (Shenendehowa) -- The freshman guard has picked up where Emily Weber left off, as she is averaging 15.3 points per game.

Kelsey Cowell (Mohonasen) -- The senior guard leads the Lady Warriors with a 13.9 points per game average.

Gabby Giacone (Bethlehem) -- The sophomore forward has been tough for opponents to stop, as she ranks second among all league players with an 18.4 points per game average.

Sydnie Rosales (Colonie) -- The Marist-bound senior guard continues to score points in bunches, as she is averaging 16.1 points per game.

Madison Rowland (Shaker) -- The senior guard has stepped up for the Blue Bison, as she leads the league with an 18.9 points per game average.
