To close out our fall sports season polls, we're asking you to name your best female athlete. Here are your candidates:

Bellame Bower (Colonie cross country) -- The freshman had a fourth-place finish at the Section II Class A meet, which qualified her for the state meet.

Gabby Cotugno (Shaker soccer) -- Recorded eight shutouts and an .850 save percentage in leading the Blue Bison to their second consecutive appearance in the Section II Class AA semifinals.

Fiona Fittro (Loudonville Christian soccer) -- Scored 31 goals this season, including the game winner in the Eagles' 1-0 victory over Fort Ann in the Class D Sectional finals.

Maryanna Lansing (Shaker cross country) -- Placed third at the Sectional meet and ran in both the state and Federation championships.

Shannon Mukerji (Shaker tennis) -- Won the Section II singles title, becoming the eighth Sectional champion in the last 10 years for the Blue Bison.

Colonie Spotlight
