Last week, we looked for Section II's most exciting boys basketball player. This week, we're bringing things to the really local level by asking you who you believe is the top winter sports athlete in the town of Colonie. Your choices are:

Eric Egan (Shaker) -- One of the leaders on the Shaker/Colonie hockey team, the senior scored 16 goals and added 19 assists.

Joe Krong (CBA) -- While the CBA boys basketball team believes in having a balanced offense, Krong was the catalyst as he led the Brothers with a 15.2 points per game average.

Kyle Plante (Colonie) -- The South Florida-bound senior keeps running strong for the Colonie girls indoor track and field team. She won three individual titles at Sunday's Section II Division I championships.

Giancarlo Sainato (Colonie) -- Not to be outdone by Plante, Sainato has piled up several individual titles during the boys indoor track season including a first-place finish in the 600-meter dash at Sectionals.

Lauren Woods (Shaker) -- The senior forward is a vital part of the Suburban Council's top girls basketball team, averaging 13.7 points per game and playing tough interior defense.

Voting will remain open until midnight Monday, and the winner will advance to next week's poll where we will ask who is the top winter sports athlete in the region.
